Great set of stamps

I fell in love with this Day of the Dead stamp set by Paper Wings Productions. I used the set to make a 5" square wall hanging. The background color was added with an aquabrush dipped onto an ink pad. All the tiles were glued onto a black piece of foam board. Stop by the store to see this sample in person.

Halloween has come and gone. Now it's time to get those memories on paper. The store has a wide variety of themed paper for your projects. This is the Little Monster collection featuring the store dragon, AKA Gemma.

Deadbeat News

Scrapboook N More was proud to host Mark of Deadbeat Designs for a card class Oct 28. As you can tell in the picture, everyone was hard at work with their creations. Mark has developed some new designs that are available at the store... a couple of bird designs and a great palm tree.

Big weekend!

Well, the weather is changing as I write this... While the family is at the football game Friday night, get caught up with your projects at the Friday night crop. You get lots of space to work 4 - 11 PM. I need to finish Gemma's layout so I'll be there. Deadbeat Design's owner and artist will be teaching a class at 2PM Saturday. Cost is only $25. You won't want to miss this event. Mark is definately entertaining. The Pampered Chef Open House event is also occuring this weekend. Judy Smith will be glad to show you the latest and greatest in kitchen items. We will also be making cards to be sent to servicemen overseas. Stop by and create a card!

October class news

I will be teaching two classes on Saturday, Oct 6. The scrapbook basics class is 10:30-12:30. This is for anyone who wants to learn more about this hobby. Bring 3-5 photos to class and leave with a completed 12x12 layout. Cost is $15 which includes $5 credit to purchase your supplies. The Halloween card class is 1:00 - 3:00. Cost is $20. Project photos are posted here. We will be using Darcies stamps, a new line at the store. We will create two traditional cards and one "never-ending" card.

Trunk Show at the store

Both Texana and Jam'n Designs are holding a trunk show at the store for the next week. Drop by the store and see all the beautiful samples using these amazing stamps. The holidays are just around the corner....

BIG Crop Night

There are only a few spots left in tonight's Crop Extravaganza! Enjoy your own table to spread out, refreshments, door prizes, and enjoyable company to work on your projects. Crop Night!

The store is hosting a crop this Friday, Aug 17 4 - 11 PM. Get out of the heat and create something beautiful at the store. Be sure to reserve your seat in advance.

Great stamp image

I discovered this Hero Arts stamp and I think it is beautiful. It is a red rubber cling stamp with interchangeable greetings. The greeting fits into the rectangular stamp exactly so you are always assured of a straight placement. For me, that is super! You can choose to stamp it with ink and create a note card. I chose to heat emboss it for the front of a card. I think it makes a decorative impact. This sample is displayed in the store in the stamp area if you want a closer look.

Great new stamp line

The make n' take event on Saturday was a huge success. We got to meet the creative forces behind Paper Wings Productions, an area stamp company. Their designs take on a Texas flair with images of the Alamo, San Antonio missions, and Day of the Dead to name just a few. Some designs are clear acrylic. Others are cling rubber. Currently the store has a good supply of all their designs so stop by the store and check them out.

Make n Take on Saturday

Be sure to stop by the store this Saturday, July 28 from 11 AM to 4 PM for the Paper Wings Production trunk show and make n take. This is a local stamp company with some great Texas-themed designs.

Announcing Reminisce Day

Be sure to stop by the store on Saturday, Apr 21. This will be Reminisce Day hosted by Tami Sanders, Reminisce design team member. From 9:30-12:30, you will have the opportunity to drop by and complete one or both of these layouts. One is Disney-themed. The other is Easter-themed. Cost is $10 each and all supplies are provided.

At 1:00, Tami will be teaching the Disney altered book class. Fee is $35. Reminisce has some great artwork and their projects are really cute.

Spring is here even if the weather is still winter. Tons of new product have arrived. Graphic 45 Tropical Travelogue is perfect for your vacation, beach, luau layouts. The Olde Curiousity Shoppe is typical Graphic 45- lots of vintage colors plus matching stamps. The "Little Darlings" collection is pure vintage baby and includes stamps too.

The Little Yellow Bicycle "Saturdays" collection has muted primary colors and offers delicate prints and drafting graphics. Good for male or female layouts. Many of the papers are linen-textured.

I LOVE the BoBunny Ambrosia collection. The beautiful yellow, orange, teal, and fuchsia colors we all love from BoBunny are back. The store also received many colors in Double Dot collection.

Have you tried this?

Have you tried the new POW glitter paper? I created this card using Best Creation "Walk in the Garden" glitter cardstock as the base of the card. The rose-colored side panel is cut from a sheet of the POW glitter paper made by American Crafts. I used a border punch to create the scalloped edge. Inside the card, I included a butterfly cut from the same POW glitter paper using the Cricut. The blade had no problem cutting through the glitter paper and there was no residue of glitter left on the machine. How great is that? It is also easy to get to adhere to other papers. One sheet of each product will create 6 card fronts.

Busy weekend at the Store

If you are looking for a creative jolt, check out the store this Saturday. The domino jewelry class is in the morning. At 1:00 you can learn the basics of cardmaking while creating 4 Valentine's. This class includes the tri-fold card. Later that night, you can join the crop and finish up all those projects that we seem to accumulate.

More new product has arrived...

The long awaited POW glitter cardstock has arrived at the store. More than 30 color choices are available. This is a very soft textured glitter surface. I love it because you don't tear up your Cricut blade. Plus you don't have all that grit left over on the Ellison die-cutting area.

Well, pull out those mittens and scarves and dress warm for the big sale this Saturday. The crafters' garage sale is this Saturday beginning at 9AM. Garage sale purchases are cash only.
