Another class with Susan

Susan will be back at the store June 12 1:30 - 3:30 to teach a watercolor stamping card class. The fee is $20. She will be using new Art Impressions stamps to create these pretty scenes.

Le Cirque Class

Isn't this a great layout? This uses the Graphic 45 Le Cirque collection. Barbara will be teaching this class Sunday, May 22 1:30-4:30. Class fee is $20.

Susan will be at the store Sunday, May 15 1:30 - 3:30 to teach a Rubber Stamp Tapestry card class. Class fee is $20. This is a great opportunity to learn stamping techniques from a pro.

The store is sponsoring a special crop Saturday, May 7 in celebration of National Scrapbook Day. Time is 10 AM to midnight. You'll be treated to prizes, contests, and food! Be sure to contact the store to reserve your seat.

Shabby Chic layout

Here is a layout I finished today using some of my new treasures. The background paper is from Pink Paislee. It is double-sided cardstock weight paper. I used bronze glimmer mist to dye the tulle flower, the lace ribbon, and the actual photo mat. This ensures that your embellishments match the total project regardless of the manufacturer. The stunning flower was stamped with a new stamp by Stampendous (Jumbo Peony Set). The flower was stamped on the pink printed paper, embossed with copper glitter embossing powder, and then popped onto the page with pop dots. The stamp set is currently

New Arrivals!

The store just received an order of Tattered Angels products. Not only are the new spring 2011 misting colors in stock but also Glimmer Glaze and Glimmer Glam. (I can't wait to play with my new colors.)

Plus a box of Dead Beat Design stamps arrived on Saturday. So if you've been waiting for the chain or tree stamps, come on over to get yours before they are gone. Lots of other infamous designs are also in stock.

Garage sale reminder

The big crafters garage sale is next Saturday, April 16 at 9:00. If you have items to sell, call the store to get a vendor number. You just price your items and drop them off. Your proceeds are either 50% in cash OR 100% in store credit to spend on NEW stuff.

If you are looking for bargains, be sure to get up early and head to the store at 9 AM. Sales are CASH only. This is a great way to get started in the hobby or outfit your teen with lots of supplies. The sale is open till 5:30 PM.

Jewelry show on Sunday

The store will be hosting a Silpada silver jewelry show on Sunday, April 10 at 1:00PM. Stop by to check out this gorgeous line.

Card Swap is up and running

Here are some of the recent cards swapped in our card swap group. The theme was birthday. This is a great way to get lots of new ideas from other crafters. Stop by the store and ask for the latest card swap info if you want to join the fun! The next swap is due April 16.

New Arrivals!

The photos do not convey the colors or the artwork in these collections. The store just received new shipments from Graphic 45. One collection is "Le Cirque." The other is "Playtimes Past." Both are on cardstock weight paper and double-sided. (You know how I like the versatility of double-sided paper!)

Big winners!

The store held the grand opening drawing on Saturday. Maggie won the Kindle. The rolling tote bag was won by Ginger. She is pictured below with her prize. The store will begin a new promotion for Easter. Come in and spend $15 to earn an entry to win a rolling tote. Drawing to be held May 7.

Recent make n' take a success

Jimmye Sue of Texana Designs was at the store recently sharing her new spring stamp designs. As you can see in the photo, she had a great group in attendance for the make n' take. Here are two of her new stamps. They are great for creating a background on your Western-themed art.
