Upcoming Events

Join Charlotte this Saturday for a full day of crafting. She will be sharing a cute layout in the morning that can be used as an actual scrapbook layout or a piece of wall art. The Fab 4 afternoon class will provide you with a sketch that can be implemented in a variety of ways. And you can finish the day with a crop 5 PM to midnight. Ken Oliver's class is upcoming! Sunday, Nov 15 is a watercolor technique class. Monday will be a sequel class to further develop your watercolor skills. And just announced... on Monday 2:30-5:30, Ken will offer a watercolor card class. You will create 6 cards. Fee is $50. Be sure to reserve your seat in these classes before they fill up.

Due to the weather, the make n take will end today around 1:15 - 1:30. Charlotte's events for today (layout class, Fab 4, crop)are cancelled. The card swap will be extended one week. Jim's class tomorrow is still on schedule.

Christmas Carol Altered Book

Don't these photos look fabulous? Mark your calendar for Sat Nov 7 12-5 PM. This is the Dicken's Christmas Carol Altered book class project. All supplies are included in the class fee of $65. Contact the store to reserve your seat in the class.

Fab 4 on Saturday, Oct 24

Charlotte will be offering Fab 4 on Oct 24 to help you get caught up with your layouts. You will be able to follow a sketch to create a layout using your own supplies in one of 4 orientations. The theme is your choice. Here is a sample of one the possible layouts you can create. Fee is only $4.

Great classes Upcoming

This Saturday, Sept 19, the store will be offering two great classes. Intro to Scrapbooking is a fun way to get started with this hobby. Bring along 4-5 photos and leave with a completed scrapbook page! This class is 10:30 - 12:30.

From 1:00 - 3:00 PM, the store is hosting a Halloween card class featuring the 3 designs above. You will create a vertical cascade card, a fun skeleton card, and by request, a tri-fold card. Call or stop by the store to reserve your seat.

More summer events at the store

Kids Crafting Camp will be held 4 Wednesdays in the upcoming weeks. Kids will get a chance to create some fabulous projects under the guidance of a store instructor. Time is 1-5 PM. If you attend all four sessions, you win a free T-shirt! This could be the perfect solution to those "I'm bored" complaints. *** Sat July 18 10-11 AM Cricut Background Class Learn what all those buttons do on your Cricut machine. Attendees will learn the basic operation of the Cricut machine. Attendees should bring their machine and mat to class. (This class does not fully cover the Explore.) *** Sat July 18 12 noon - 2 PM Intro to Card making class Learn the basics and start creating your own card artwork. Attendees will explore using stamps, spray inks, and heat embossing.

June Events

Summer is almost here! Lots of exciting events are coming up! June 20th will feature Jim, the Gentleman Crafter at the store. Eclectic Spray Holder will be taught 10 AM - 12 noon. Fee is $60.

From 1 PM - 6PM, he will teach Treasure Box. Fee is $45. As you can see, the exterior is decorated. The interior contains 6 trinket containers and a book.

Upcoming classes

This Saturday Charlotte is teaching two great classes. The first at 10:00 will include a two-page layout. Then Fab 4 in the afternoon will help you create 4 layouts for only $4! Artist Dyan Reaveley will be at the store Sunday May 10 9-1:00 offering a class, "Journaling with Inks and Stencils. This class will give you everything you need to know about Dyan's inking techniques from start to finish. You will learn all of her tips and hints for perfectly inked pages. You will be creating beautiful inked backgrounds to start your journaling journey. Class fee is $65. If you are interested in any of these classes, please call the store to reserve a seat.

Great Time Saturday

A special thanks to Susan & Scrapbook Expo for helping coordinate a bus trip to Grapevine this past Saturday. Crafters from San Antonio, New Braunfels, and Austin were whisked away for a fabulous day of shopping and classes at the Gaylord Texan resort. We played games, watched a movie, won prizes, and compared purchases on the bus trip. Everyone deserves a prize for being up at 4 AM for the trip. I'd post photos of the happy group but it was completely dark when we left in the morning and when we returned that night. If you want to be part of the bus trip next year, mark your calendar for the 3rd weekend in February!
