Message from Susan
This is a hard post for me, but necessary to let you all know that I will be working on my next venture for Scrapbook N' More. Although this plan has been in development for quite sometime, I have enjoyed having a brick and mortar store for you for the past 12+ years. I appreciate your diligence in finding me in my "new" location. The world of retail has changed and the click and buy has dramatically impacted the brick and mortar profile. From the time of our move, I have been open with the fact that it was temporary based on future tenants/plans for my landlord. I will occupy my space (Suite 530) in the Market Place center until April 27th. This means all events after that are effectively cancelled. It also means that our quarterly Crafters' Garage Sale on April 19/20 will be cancelled. It just doesn't make sense to do this with such a short window.
Obviously we are saddened that we will not be able to participate in the Texas Shop Hop, but hope that you will continue to support these fine independent stores.
If you have paid for an event after April 28th, I will gladly refund your payment. This situation is never easy, but as I have shared with everyone, I was graciously extended the opportunity to have a retail space for you since my previous space was open for a new tenant last February. I was graciously given a two month extension in my new space, knowing that it was always available for lease. After moving, I have been so grateful that I was allowed to continue for one year with the terms of my landlord. My future has been at the mercy of my landlord and I have been very open about that. Signage has been an issue, and although we just had an 8' x 12' banner hung for your convenience in finding us, it did not meet with the terms of the center, and has thus been taken down. I hope this will not deter you from continuing to shop at the store for our duration. Please continue to call for directions if you need (830)214-1690. I am still in Suite 530, which is right between Tobacco Haus and Millenium Medispa, which means I am in the top right corner of the center as you enter.Store hours will be adjusted for your shopping convenience to Mon - Saturday 10am - 7pm starting March 29th.
After April 27th I will assess my options for my next venture. I have loved having the retail store and have so loved getting to know so many of you (your story, family, and pets) over the past 12+ years.
"On the road" has been a plan in the works for quite some time and I look forward to the opportunity to serve you in retreats (crop, shop, and learn) as well as on crafting cruises (what a great one we had in November!). For right now, to reduce some inventory, all open stock (single sheets of paper) will be 20% off. You will still receive loyalty reward accumulations for all regular priced merchandise. All loyalty rewards that have not expired in over a month will be honored. Going forward we will assess future markdowns, but keep in mind that we are planning to move forward in a new direction so we are not in a "going out of business mode". At a certain point, some merchandise will be donated to The Childrens' Hospital of San Antonio as well as the newly opened Childrens' Oncology Hospital in Lubbock, TX.
New product has arrived almost daily, so the timing of this sale is good and I hope you will take advantage of this. Being on "the bubble" has been stressful at best and I hope you will understand that I just simply need to move on to my next step. My family appreciates your support more than you can ever know. With both boys about to leave my nest for college, know that my husband is worried about who I will talk to all day. I love the hugs (giving and receiving) daily and will miss that until our next phase is in place. Please consider that this is a difficult situation but a new venture when posting your comments to this post. I have faith that better things are to come. <3 and hugs, Susan
